Day of Celebrations!

Busy and fun day today! First, it was Father's Day, so we let Dee sleep in while we made breakfast - crepes with Nutella, raspberries, and freshly whipped cream. Super yum! Happy Father's Day to Dee and to all the other great dads out there, including my own dad who is...well, awesome.

Then it was time to get ready for church. Lou has been practicing for a couple of months to do a cello piece in church. She and her teacher played "Love is Spoken Here" as duet for prelude. Here is Lou getting ready to head off to church. Does she look a little nervous? Well, she was, but she did great! We practiced a few times with just a few people in the chapel and she did perfect...as people started coming in, the nerves hit and the two times they played it "for real" were maybe not the best she's ever done, but I'm very proud of her for having the courage to do it. Now it will be easier....

She needs a new (bigger) cello, if you can't tell... Last but not least, there is a SEVEN YEAR OLD in the house! No way! Pippy was very specific about how she wanted her cake: Chocolate cake, white frosting, with fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top. Problem is, once Dee got all that stuff on there, there wasn't much room to write anything on it. So, she wanted Dee to write "HBA" for Happy Birthday A...

Blowing out the candles....okay, already blew out the candles but posed for the pic because I wasn't ready with the camera when she really blew them out. Her hair really was cute today, by the way. It was in a "ponytail braid" (you can see where her hair was braided in this pic). By the time she came out of her Primary class though, it looked like this (oh well, we tried):
Pippy is just a bundle of happiness and FUN. She has been a joy from the minute she was born....As she says, "mom, aren't you glad I didn't die when I was born?" And yes, yes I am glad for that! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPPY!!

Awesome day of celebrations!

It reminds me of last year when we celebrated Father's Day, our youngest's birthday, and our oldest being set apart as a missionary... Busy day!
