Mardi Gras Time! Oh, what a time it is! The kids are out of school all week next week for the festivities. We started the day with the kindergarten Mardi Gras ball. Oh, those kiddos were so stinkin' cute! A's class were flowers, and her teacher was the gardener. Here she is doing the Conga! She also did YMCA, a disco Bee Gee's number (with the Macarena somehow incorporated into it??), the chicken dance, and of course the kid's favorite: The Cupid Shuffle!
Tonight was the Selene parade. It is a female krewe and they do a night parade that is really fun.
Here's A yelling, "Throw me something mister!!" (Or I guess it really should be, "throw me something ma'am!"
Crazy kids (no, they weren't drunk!). Gardner kids and Smith kids before the paradeI took far too many pics today to post them all. I'll have to do a slide show...but that will wait until tomorrow because Doug and I are now going to put the kiddos to bed and watch a movie!
It was a fun day, these parades are fun, but then when you get home you think, "Why was I screaming for all of this made in China crap?"
Fun times!

Looks like a lot of crazy fun! Holy Cow Angie, you look GREAT!!
Mardi gras.... out of school for a week because of it. Just two of the many things we miss out on living in Utah. Most kids here (and adults for that matter) have no clue what mardi gras even is. Looks like fun.
What a party! And it will go on for a week. Sweet!
