Frankenmuth and the mall

We have been having so much fun with our visitors! On Thursday I had to work and so did Dee, so we really didn't do anything. Friday we had plans to go to Lansing (Dee had one appointment there and we were going to go to the Michigan State gardens while we waited for him) and then to Frankenmuth, but our plans got changed.

Dee does adoption work, and babies come when they come....so plans had to change a bit. He ended up working most of the day with a new baby. We thought it would be just a few hours so we went to the mall to hang out. It ended up being a lot longer, but we adjust. We found that we were able to have quite a bit of fun and drop a bunch of money at the mall when given the chance. Oh, and we also dropped not one but TWO sodas all over the floor in the food court. Priceless. I don't remember my kids ever spilling a drink while eating out. Yesterday, we did it twice.

Once Dee finally had things wrapped up, we headed up to Frankenmuth even though we'd only get a few hours there. It was still fun! We had a delicious chicken dinner at Zehnders and then walked around town for about an hour. Such a beautiful little place. We didn't make it to Bronner's this time but we were kind of done with shopping by this point anyway.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the flowers to the left of the Zehnder's sign are sculpted into a chicken.
Here is Lou with "Fudge", who we picked up at Build-a-Bear for Lou's 9th birthday!
