People have been asking, so here is our timeline for the near future:
June 24 - packing day (thank goodness we do not have to do this ourselves!)
June 25 - loading day, truck takes off with our stuff, clean the house
June 26 - sign papers, give them a big check to pay off our mortgage, and take off. We'll spend that first night in Nashville
June 27 - Spend the day at Mammoth Cave and Lincoln's birthplace, stay that night in Elizabethtown, KY
June 28 - Drive to Ohio and visit Michelle and go to church with her, then meet up with other friends at Young's Dairy for dinner and ice cream, spending the night in Lima, OH
June 29 - Finish the drive, arriving in Detroit early afternoon
June 30 - Hopefully, our closing will be ready, and we'll sign papers, give another check, and get keys to our house. Our stuff will arrive either the 30th or the 1st.
July 1, 2 - move into the house as much as possible, which probably won't be a whole lot
July 3 - Angie and the girls will fly to Utah, Doug stays and works
July 4 - Jonas Brothers at Stadium of Fire. One very happy 7 year old.
July 5 or 6 - Angie fly back to Detroit, girls stay with grandparents
July 6 - 16 - Girls are having a fabulous time in Utah, Angie is working hard on projects at the new house, and Doug is working, getting settled at his new job.
July 16 - Doug and Angie fly to Utah and reunite with the girls
July 18 - Elise's baptism, in Lehi
July 16 - 29 vacation in Utah
July 30, 31, Aug 1 - Doug has meetings in Utah
Aug 2 - Doug picks up his lovely U-haul and drives some furniture we are getting in Utah to Detroit. The rest of us will fly back.
By Aug 3 or 4 we all should be back in Michigan and settling back into a more normal routine.

What a great timeline! I wish ours was so straight-forward. Oh well, we will get to that point eventually. I am beginning to wish someone else could pack our stuff... :)
