Miracles do happen!

This house is blessed, I swear. It has a good spirit to it, always has. It's weird. Even though it was too small for us, when we walked in three years ago (the first day it was on the market!) it felt like home.

Apparently that has happened for someone else, because the first person to look at our house is having a contract written up tomorrow. She said it "spoke to her" immediately and it's exactly what she's been looking for. So, in the seven year history of our house, it will have been for sale twice for a total of 8 days. Unbelieveable.

We feel good about the deal. It's not as much as we'd hoped, and is far far less than we paid (or will still be paying, actually!), but it's a fair deal on all ends I think. It will make a great home for someone who needs it, and the sale will allow us to get up to Michigan and get started on a new chapter of life. Looks like our close date here will be June 26th.

We are going to try to hustle off to Michigan here very shortly to lock up something up there. We've found several homes online that are "speaking to us", (so to speak) we're just hoping that once we see them in person it will fall into place which one we should be in.

Our losss here is going to be someone's (bigger) loss in Michigan. We should be able to get into something much nicer for much less money. It will allow us to get back on our feet and forget that this 3-year financial nightmare ever happened! We have enjoyed many things about Louisiana, but getting into more mortgage than we could really afford and paying $4,000 a year in homeowner's insurance has not been the smartest thing we've ever done. We are glad for the chance for redemption.

Congratulations!! I knew that it was meant to be right when I heard you say that you had the offer to move--you guys are needed in Michigan. It just seems like perfect timing, you can get to Michigan and get settled well before school starts up.
