New Orleans has a fabulous aquarium, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. We used to have a membership, but let it expire so we haven't been in awhile, but yesterday I was able to go with A on her field trip there. We spent about an hour and 15 minutes in the aquarium, then had lunch (supposed to be a picnic but since it was cold outside they let us eat in), then watched "Santa vs. the Snowman" on the IMAX. After a very bumpy busride home (dang Katrina damaged roads!! NOT fun in a school bus!) I checked Ashlyn out early and we came home to help Doug (who was sick and after visiting the doc for an antibiotic decided to put up more outside Christmas decorations).
