Is this a sad face or what? Elise had her tonsils out on Friday morning, and tubes put in her ears again. This time they did butterfly tubes since it seems that she will always have to have tubes in order to hear (butterfly tubes last longer).
She did really well in the surgery, but the demerol made her sick and she threw up most of the day Friday. We finally got that stopped and now she's doing really well, and eating lots of popsicles and ice cream! Today she ventured to mashed potatoes and boiled eggs. Tomorrow we can start finely ground meats. She'll miss this whole week of school. It's good to get it done though, she really has a hard time without those tubes in, and the tonsils have needed to come out for awhile as well.
