Belle Isle - Beautiful Island

We have visitors! My mom and my niece are here for a week to play with us, and then will stay with the kids while I am at girl's camp. Today we decided to check out some things in Detroit that we hadn't done yet. Our first stop was Belle Isle. We had heard that it used to be a really beautiful place but that it is not well taken care of now. Still, it does offer really beautiful views of the Detroit and Windsor skylines, and while the picnic areas weren't great, the views don't change! It was fun.

Here they are balancing Canada in one hand and the USA in the other. What talent!
